John Maggart was born about 1757 in Augusta (now Rockingham) County, Virginia. He was the son of David Maggart.

He married Ann Elizabeth Sellers on July 25, 1789 in Rockingham County, Virginia.

Jacob Maggart (1792, married Catharine Kiblinger Brunner, daughter of Jacob Kiblinger and Anna Margaret Pence),
David Maggart (1794, married Eleanor Cummins),
Henry Maggart (1796, married Catharine Taylor),
Reuben Maggart (1797, married Nancy Hullinger),
Elizabeth Maggart (1800, married Valentine Hullinger),
Joseph Maggart (1802),
Enoch Maggart (1805, married Sarah McCarty),
John Maggart (1807, married Nancy Morris),
Isaac Maggart (1809, Joanna Hutchinson).

In 1820, John, Abraham and Jacob were in German Township, Clark County, Ohio.

John's will was filed April 11, 1831 in Clark County, Ohio

 
 
 
 

Henry Maggart was born March 24, 1761 in Frederick (now Shenandoah) County, Virginia.

He married Margaret Gimmel.

Barbara Maggart (1783, married Samuel Hall),
Mary Maggart (1785, married Louis Foust),
Henry Maggart, Jr. (1787, married Nancy Jane Darnell)
Elizabeth Maggart (1789, married Frederick Pecktal),
Catherine Maggart (1792, married Anthony Head, son of William Head).

Henry died on June 19, 1842 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.
